GTHOG Wins "Most Pledges"
For 1998 Ride For R.E.A.C.H.

The award for the club raising the most pledges went to the Greater Toronto Harley Owners Group. The first annual Ride for R.E.A.C.H. raised around $7,000 of which GTHOG raised about $2,700. Chris Kayser (also the Ride's Chairman) alone raised $2,500! His challenge for 1999 is for anyone to beat his pledges (we have to have something to shoot for).

The club that raised the most got a plaque and the top individuals got to pick from over $6,000 in prizes. Chris picked a certificate for a new pair of boots from "Cowboy Dreams". There was also a set of tires from Bridgestone amongst the 78 other prizes. Lots of incentive to raise pledges!

A total of 145 riders and about 170 people attended. The ride does not discriminate as far as who you are or what you ride. All that's asked is that everyone ride safely, obey the law, and have a great time with others throughout the day. Everyone who attended did just that!
